Backpack Buddies Fundraiser A Success!!

The Rolesville Chamber hosted a fundraiser Thursday Nov. 6, 2008, at Bottle & Bean/Dinners At Home in Wake Forest.
The Rolesville Chamber of Commerce together with Bottle & Bean/Dinners At Home hosted a fundraiser November 6th with all the proceeds being contributed to the Backpack Buddies. The evening was a huge success. There were over 30 participants and the Chamber raised over $700 for the children. The night was filled with lots of great food, wine tasting, networking, coffee, and social fun. Thanks to Sandy Young, Lisa Petruolo, and the other members of the Education Committee for a job well done. Hats off to you all!
The Chamber also helped raise over $750 for Backpack Buddies by participating in the CROP Walk for Hunger with the Rolesville Baptist Church on October 11th. Chamber walkers were Mitch and Robin Neal, their daughters, Anna and Mallory, along with Pam Burke of Sonic, and yours truly, Jenny Rowe. The group left Rolesville Baptist Church and walked to Rolesville Elementary, five times around the track, and then returned to the church. Everyone had a great time. Thank you to all those that sponsored the CROP Walk.
